Non-Immigrant Visas
Nonimmigrant visas, also called temporary visas, allow people to
enter the US temporarily. Each nonimmigrant visa has a different
purpose and a different length of stay in the US. Some visas allow
employment in the US, but not all. The temporary visas categories
are designated by letters of the alphabet. Read the chart below
to learn about all the nonimmigrant visas discussed on these pages.
